The Georgetown Fair is proud to celebrate the traditions of agriculture, craftsmanship, and creativity through our Home Economics & Agriculture Exhibits. These competitions highlight the talent, dedication, and hard work of our community members, from seasoned farmers to first-time bakers. Whether this is your first time showing or you’re back with years of experience, check out the information below for more details and reminders for the year’s show.

Showcase Your Skills
Do you have the best homemade pie in the county? Are your quilts a work of art? Does your garden yield the biggest and best produce?
Whether you're a lifelong exhibitor or trying something new, the fair is the perfect place to display your talents and compete for top honors.
Step 1: Choose Your Classes
Choose which classes you'd like to enter projects in from 12 departments offered. You may enter one entry per class. (Each entry has a fee of $1.50)
Step 2: Fill Out Entry Form
Fill out your entry forms before arriving at the fair grounds for entry day by downloading the PDF from our website: www.georgetownfair.org. View our 2025 Fairbook for classes and entry information.
Step 3: Entry Day - Drop Off!
Drop off your projects and entry forms on Saturday, August 5th between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the fairgrounds. We will be taking entries in the showcasing building.
Step 4: Judging Takes Place
Judging of projects will take place on Sunday, July 6th. All buildings are closed on this day, but will be open for viewing on Monday, July 7th at 4 p.m.
Step 5: View Your Awards
Visit the Home Ec. buildings to view your ribbons and awards starting Monday, July 7th. Building hours are from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Step 6: Pick Up Projects
Project and award pick-up will take place on Saturday, July 12th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Projects should stay at the fairgrounds for showing the entire week.

Premiums are paid out based on the award level recieved. There is guranteed prize money for each exhibitor based on the number of exhibitors in each department. We are thankful for our many donors that make this possible!
Premiums Per Entry are as follows:
1st Place - $3.10
2nd Place - $2.90
3rd Place - $2.70
4th Place - $2.50
5th Place - $2.40
6th Place - $2.30
7th Place - $2.20 -
There is a fee of $1.50 per entry that is to be paid on entry day.
You will also be required to purchase an exhibitor pass at a cost of $5. (Children 11 and under pay $2 for exhibitor pass and those entering in Kids Korner will receive a pass at no charge.)

Kids Korner
Any boy or girl that has not turned 8 years old by January 1, 2025
Junior Department
Any participant who is 8 years old or in 3rd grade. Participant must not yet be 21 on or before September 1st of the year previous to the fair.
Open Shows
Any exhibitor of any age can participate in our open shows.
