Entry Fee
There is a charge of $5, which is due at time of entry.
There is a link on the website to submit your payment or you can mail it to Lisa Hackler.
Age Divisions
Age as of July 8, 2025 (per state rules)
Junior - Age 14 and younger
Senior - Age 15-21
Per the state rules, judges will award points as follows:
Ability: 50 points
Stage Performance: 30 points
Costume: 10 points
Audience Appeal: 10 points
Winners of other 2025 Illinois County Fair Talent Contests will not be eligible to participate.
Judging Guidelines

Each age division has the following awards:
1st place: Plaque and $50
2nd place: $40
3rd place: $30
4th place $20
5th place $10
Audience members will be able to vote for their favorite act. The contestant with the most “fan votes” will be the winner. -
There is a practice time set for July 8 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Feel free to come any time during that time slot to run through your performance. -
As per state contest rules, each performance must be 4 minutes or less. Any act that lasts longer than 4 minutes will be disqualified.

A microphone and keyboard will be provided.

The sound engineer prefers that tracks be saved on a flashdrive, or on a CD. Please write your name on the CD. Also, no “like instruments” will be allowed on these tracks.

Both the Jr. and Sr. 1st place winners will be eligible to participate in the state talent contest held in January 2026, in Springfield.
